Dr. Plessala has spent more than 30 years as an OBGYN innovating fertility solutions for patients with often no clear diagnosis. As both a practicing clinician and medical device inventor, Dr. Plessala is committed to improving the healthcare experience for women, as well as their outcomes. Beloved by patients who travel from across the country to seek his care in Mobile, AL, he co-founded Ovum to set a new standard of care for OBGYNs in the United States.

Santi Munne, PhD
Reproductive geneticist and "accidental entrepreneur," Santi has co-founded several transformative companies in reproductive health. He has been instrumental in the field of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD), with over 65,000 procedures performed worldwide. A graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, Santiago has been teaching at NYH-Cornell University Medical Center since 1992. He oversees research initiatives internally at Ovum and with our external partners.
