Hi, I’m Sophie Buffini, a board-certified Physician Assistant with a passion for women’s health and helping women feel confident, informed, and supported throughout their healthcare journeys.

My passion for women’s health began long before I entered medicine. Growing up with a mother who is an OB/GYN gave me an early appreciation for the unique physical and emotional experiences women navigate throughout their lives. This interest grew through my participation in medical missions focused on women’s health, where I saw firsthand how meaningful it is to care for women through vulnerable and transformative seasons of life.

These experiences have continued to shape my approach to patient care, including my work as a Physician Assistant in rheumatology. Caring primarily for women has taught me how interconnected our health can be and how important it is to look beyond the surface to understand the whole person. I believe every woman deserves to feel heard, taken seriously, and empowered with the knowledge to make informed decisions about her health. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and asking questions. I’m passionate about getting to the root of health concerns and partnering with patients to find thoughtful, personalized solutions.

My commitment to women’s health has become even more personal since becoming a mother. Experiencing pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum journey firsthand has deepened my appreciation for the physical and emotional changes women experience and reinforced how important it is to feel supported, understood, and cared for during these seasons.

Outside of work, my greatest joy is spending time with my husband and our little one. We love making memories together and enjoying the little moments of everyday life. When I’m not with my family, you can often find me hiking, exercising, gardening, or planning our next travel adventure. I love being outdoors, staying active, and finding opportunities to explore new places.

I feel incredibly grateful to be part of a profession that allows me to connect with women in such a meaningful way. I’m excited to be part of a community that prioritizes thoughtful, comprehensive care and empowers women to better understand their health. Most of all, I hope to build lasting, trusting relationships with my patients and help each woman feel heard, supported, and cared for through every stage of her health journey.
